Riverina Alan is a massive 4ft tall, absolute Rockstar of an intermedia lavender! We specifically chose to add both Riverina Alan and Riverina Thomas, as they have been unofficially referred to as the “Hardy Brothers” for their resilience to frigid cold conditions and their resilience to the yo-yo temperature swings that can seen throughout the Midwest Regions. Upon researching, it was absolutely apparent all of the other reasons why it’s a Rockstar! Riverina Alan is a huge vigorous and dependable grower, reaching a mature height of 4ft tall. Can you imagine how breathtaking a field full of 4ft tall lavender field would be? It boasts of outstanding color both in the field and dried, long sturdy stems up to 20 – 30″ in length once mature, with sturdy long stems, show stopping deep purple flowers and mid summer bloom time. It retains both it’s color and buds once dried, and is fantastic for long stemmed bouquets and wreath making too! It’s an outstanding producer of some of the high quality intermedia essential oil with lower camphor content and high yields. Riverina Alan is reliable workhorse, vigorous growing intermedia.
